The Management, HR and Information Systems Area of the Orfalea College of Business at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) seeks applicants for one full-time lecturer position for one academic year beginning September 7, 2017 and ending June 16, 2018 in the primary area of Information Systems (IS).
Minimum Qualifications (Staff Only):
Candidates must have an interest and ability to teach undergraduate-level Introduction to MIS courses (using Microsoft Access, Excel and web development tools for business applications) and at least one of the following courses: computer programming (preferably using C# and/or Java), Android programming, mobile application development, computer networking, ERP, and information security. The successful candidate must have completed at least a master's degree in Business with an emphasis in Information Systems or in a related field such as Computer Science or Information Science from an AACSB (or equivalent) accredited institution. A Ph.D. in Business or a related field is a plus. Applicants are expected to demonstrate and maintain currency in their professional field.
Experience with teaching at the upper-division college level is also desirable
The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
