Crew Lead: A vegetation management Crew Lead is responsible for all crew administrative duties, including, but not limited to, completing and submitting of electronic Contractor Work Reports (CWR's), checking in and out of customer Site Control Centers and Zone Representatives, coordinating with schedulers to complete work, facilitating on-site Job Site Safety Analysis (JSA's), completing and turning in weekly vehicle/trailer/equipment Safety Checks, driving DOT registered truck with trailer in tow, and completing and submitting weekly company expense reports in addition to general oversight and participation in, vegetation management. During a normal work day, a Crew Lead can expect to clear brush, use chainsaw and line trimmer, rake up leaves, pick up trash, load/unload trailers, tank-mix herbicides, apply herbicide, operate ATV's designed for mechanical herbicide application, setup and maintain vertebrate bait stations and other forms of vegetation management work. A Crew Lead can also expect to be out of town (overnight) about 50% of the time. Crew Lead Requirements:
Hold California Qualified Applicators License (categories A & C preferable, willing to train)
Be able to pass annual DOT physical as well as random drug and alcohol tests
Able to travel approximately 50% of the time (dependent upon location) Crew Helper: During a normal work day, a vegetation management Crew Helper can expect to clear brush, use chainsaw and line trimmer, rake up leaves, pick up trash, load/unload trailers, assist tank-mixing of herbicides, apply herbicide, operate ATV's designed for mechanical herbicide application, assist in setup and maintenance of vertebrate bait stations and other forms of vegetation management work. A Crew Helper is also expected to assist Crew Lead in accomplishing/completing electronic administrative responsibilities when necessary. A Crew Helper can also expect to be out of town (overnight) about 50% of the time.
