DAVIDSON COLLEGE, a private liberal arts college located 20 miles north of Charlotte, North Carolina, seeks Producer/Lecturer for regular appointment. Position involves production management and marketing oversight. Advocacy, on campus and in the broader community, for the Department of Theatre's programming and activities is an important duty of this position, including engagement with historically underserved communities on campus. Responsible for management of department production season which includes, but is not limited to, the following: coordination of play selection committee; creation and oversight of budgets, calendars, deadlines; scheduling and facilitating production meetings for four shows each year; mentoring students serving as stage managers; coordination and oversight of student production crews and guest artist contractors; supervision and monitoring of all Department marketing activity, including the development of copy and concept for print and digital collateral; and FOH duties. Teaching to include one to two courses per year, including Introduction to Theatre; other courses TBD depending on experience and expertise.
Salary competitive. Requirements: MFA or MBA in Arts Management or the equivalent in production experience and teaching. Marketing skills and supervisory and/or teaching experience are expected. Preferred start date: June 1, 2017
