Responsibility for Resolution Planning strategy reporting directly to the Global Head RRP and IBSM.
Responsible for ensuring that the Group has understands the resolution strategy for the firm envisaged by our home and host regulators and the implications of this for the Group.
Resolution Planning Strategy Ensure the firm understands the Resolution Strategy preferred by its home and host regulators
Analyse the developing resolution regimes globally to understand how these will impact the resolution strategy
Analyse and communicate the likely impact of the preferred resolution strategy on the firm
Identify barriers to resolution and support the Global Head RRP in ensuring the Resolution Workplan is focused on remediation of these barriers
Develop playbooks to support a successful resolution
Coordinate and support the Global Head RRP in managing ongoing engagement with lead and host regulators in relation to Group Resolution planning.
Total Loss Absorbing Capacity Lead work to identify approach to implementation of TLAC and internal TLAC, working with GT Capital.
Prudential Compliance Framework Lead work to implement and maintain the Prudential Compliance Framework for BRRD ensuring that every requirement is mapped and owners assigned.
Review the controls proposed by owners and assess the effectiveness of these in assuring ongoing compliance.
Country RRP Engagement and Communication Lead work to ensure colleagues in country understand their roles and responsibilities and that these are appropriately articulated in JDs and via the Operational Risk Framework.
Ensure colleagues in country are engaged on an ongoing basis and have up to date knowledge and skills around RRP
Provide input and support in relation to delivery of local RRP requirements.
Governance Understand the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Deliver 'effective governance'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
Risk Management Oversee the development and maintenance of the BRRD Prudential Compliance Framework ensuring effective controls are in place
Support the Global Head RRP in defining appropriate controls for all resolution planning processes
Support the process owner for all processes within the GT process universe relating to Resolution Planning. I am accountable to risk control owners and/or Group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them. Responsible for supporting the Global Head RRP in management of processes owned in line with the Group Treasury's process universe as set out in the Group Operational Risk Framework, and associated risks, including activities within the processes which are carried out by businesses or other functions or which are hubbed or outsourced.
People and Talent Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
