Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland is searching for an Upper School Assistant Principal to begin in summer 2017. The assistant principal collaborates with the Upper School Principal and other assistant principals on student life responsibilities ranging from daily comportment and dress code to student programming. The assistant principals help set the tone for Bullis’ growing community.
Establish and maintain professional and trustworthy relationships with students and families to ensure a successful Bullis experience
Work closely with teachers and other resource personnel as a support for implementing effective instructional practices related to school/divisional and student curricular and instructional needs
Provide faculty with resources needed to empower them in areas of classroom management
Create professional and trustworthy relationships with faculty to ensure successful communication about teaching and learning
Serves as team leader for evaluations of faculty and/or department chairs
This is a full-time position with compensation commensurate with prior experience and qualifications.
Applicants must possess a masters' degree, preferably in education, and at least five years' teaching experience focused on grades 9 - 12. A minimum of three years' administrative experience is required, preferably with grades 9-12.
