| The Harvard University Employee Credit Union (HUECU) Teller is responsible for performing transactions for and providing excellent service to Credit Union members.|
The HUECU Teller will:
Be knowledgeable about HUECU deposit and loan products, to promote sales and develop relationships with new or existing members.
Have strong analytical skills ensuring a high level of accuracy.
Be responsible for daily balancing of teller work and cash as well as assisting with the daily branch settlement.
Adhere to organization's privacy policies and displays a high level of integrity, maturity, and discretion regarding member personal financial information.
Note: Early and/or late Thursdays and Saturday hours required.
Uses computer system to process deposits, cash and check withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries.
Controls and disburses teller cash through the cash recycler machine.
Stays informed of security / robbery procedures and privacy concerns.
Maintains a high level of knowledge about HUECU accounts and services to assist in the cross selling of appropriate products and services to meet members' needs.
Completes deposit verifications, address changes and other written inquiries received.
Provides telephone assistance when necessary.
Sells money orders and processes cash advances assisting with the daily reconciliation of each service.
Assists with the daily balancing of the ATM terminals and the CoinStream Machine.
Provides assistance to Head Teller and other retail personnel as needed.
Balances daily teller work and cash.
Assists with all aspects of daily branch settlement including preparing daily check deposit.
Ensures all actions are in compliance with governing regulations.
Maintains a neat and clean work station and assists in maintaining the overall Teller area.
Demonstrates effective account retention efforts.
Models excellent member service behavior.
Performs other job related duties as required.
