This Flow Cytometry Billing/Research Associate will be responsible for:
Maintaining the Schedules and the logs for the instrument in the lab
Maintaining and keeping the lab Billing Database up-to-date by working with Internal and external grant administrators.
Performing monthly usage and invoice for the lab to our internal and external Laboratories.
Developing a system to track paid and unpaid invoice for the lab.
Providing monthly report to core director.
Operating and maintaining FACSAria IIu cell sorter under supervision to perform cell sorting at high quality and sterile condition.
Performing daily and weekly quality control on Cell Sorter.
Archiving Data monthly and maintaining workstation computers.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in related Field.
1 to 2 year experiences working on billing preferably for a service laboratory with knowledge in Microsoft Access
database, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Previous sorting experience (Preferred but not required). The lab will provide extensive training to the right Candidate.
The ability communicate clearly and effectively in writing or orally to our internal and external Researchers.
The ability to interact respectfully with other employees, professional staff or our external contacts in all manners.
A high level of customer service.
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
This is a physical job in nature which will require the need to stand and/or move around during your shift within the labs across the institution.
The HSCI-BCH Flow Cytometry Research Lab is looking for a full time flow cytometry operator/Billing Administrator to help operate and maintain the Flow cytometry core facility's sorter and analyzer machines which are employed on a multi user basis, for projects in several areas, including immunology, cancer and stem cell research. The Research Associate I will also devoted a Significant amount of the time working on the Booking and Billing for the Lab.
