We have an outstanding opportunity for a Congestive Heart Failure specialist to join SSM Health-Dean Medical Group in Madison, WI. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in Heart Failure, including experience in both evaluation and care of VAD patients. Responsibilities will include: continued development of the current Heart Failure Clinic to improve access, extend the scope of services and to identify patients at risk for mortality, hospital readmission, and other adverse events; establishment of a comprehensive inpatient Heart Failure service including consultative, diagnostic and treatment services for high risk patients; evaluation of patients for VAD therapy, including , short-term support (including ECMO), destination therapy and bridge to transplant support in coordination with a collaborating transplantation center. Qualifications include board certification in cardiology and fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure.
The 14 member Cardiology Division consists principally of 4 Interventionists, 6 noninvasive and 4 EP specialists. The Cardiology Division is well recognized among their peers for outstanding quality data, excellence in care and service to patients throughout our 18 county service area. The practice is conveniently based on the campus of St Mary's Hospital which is recognized as a Top 50 Heart Hospital and an Accredited Chest Pain Center. Typical schedule is a four day work week and call schedule would be 1 in 4 weekday/weekend.
