With succession planning in the forefront, CORT is recruiting MBA graduates for a multi-year, full-time, paid leadership development program, which will prepare the associate for consideration for a senior level leadership position.
The MBA Leadership Development Program provides intensive field-based training in communication, leadership, finance, sales and operations, enabling the associate to apply these skills in critical roles throughout the company as they begin a career with CORT. The program also provides access to an instant peer group and networking opportunities to help the associate learn and grow within CORT. The associate will learn directly from company leaders. Through training and real-life assignments the associate will gain the customer service and leadership knowledge they will need to run their own part of the business.
Upon hire, the associate will have direct position placement where they can immediately provide value. The associate will rotate through various operational, sales, administrative, and staff departments throughout CORT. These rotational assignments teach the associate about our unique business inside and out.
The candidate must be able to relocate and make a commitment to relocate as part of his/her training and development in the future. Starting work locations could include locations such as: Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington D.C., Denver, Dallas, Boston, Chicago, and other major metropolitan areas.
The ideal candidate will be an MBA graduate with a degree focus in Operations, Strategy, Finance or Marketing. Successful candidates should also have had 5 to 10 years of work experience and 3-6 years of leadership experience, preferably in retail, wholesale, logistics, hospitality, sales, management or other business roles.
The candidate desired would be a team builder and organization developer, be goal and results oriented, be self-confident and exhibit initiative, social poise and empathy. They would also rally other people around their goals, be enterprising and need freedom from structure. Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a capability along three dimensions: leadership potential, managerial aptitude and operational competencies. It's preferable if he/she has demonstrated experience in outside sales or general management. Candidates who have had some P&L responsibility along with direct management experience will be given preference.
This is not a position for those that desire to be a consultant, but for those that want to lead a business. Candidates must have unrestricted and indefinite work authorization in the U.S.
