Bullis School, a co-educational, K-12, nondenominational day school in Potomac, Maryland, seeks innovative, energetic and dedicated candidates to teach Upper School Math. The position begins in August 2017 and involves teaching five math classes. A full-time teaching position also includes other roles within the community, including student advising and additional duties as assigned by the division principal. The ideal candidate will have experience planning student-centered, innovative lessons in course-aligned teams and leading students in inquiry based learning. The candidate will value interdisciplinary thinking and can expertly guide our students as they develop a deeper understanding of our interconnected world through the study of mathematics.
At Bullis, math teachers can teach a variety of courses including, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and Vector Calculus and Linear Algebra. Bullis teachers keep up to date with current advances in mathematics, teaching resources, pedagogy and national objectives. This position involves collaboratively researching and crafting differentiated, engaging lessons for students with a range of learning abilities as well as providing daily substantive feedback that fosters student achievement. Candidates will utilize technology that efficiently enhances instruction.
