Job Summary: The UIA Fellow (www.theuia.org) will conduct research related to student success, including; reporting, presenting, and translating scholarship for multiple academic, administrative, and policy audiences; writing for publication; designing research, including randomized control trials; analyzing and modeling quantitative data (e.g., structural equation modeling and/or hierarchical linear modeling); accessing and managing data through student success data hub and other campus sources; and collaborating with MSU institutional research and data professionals to inform development and implementation of interventions to increase student success.The hire will participate in campus student success teams convened through the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education and the Hub for Innovation in Learning and Technology; represent MSU within the University Innovation Alliance as a UIA Fellow as well as contribute to achieving goals of the UIA Fellows program. Example duties include; participating in regular conference calls of the UIA Fellows; collecting and sharing data necessary for UIA-wide projects; participating in UIA meetings and UIA Fellows retreats and facilitating communication between UIA project leads and MSU UIA Liaisons, project leads, and others.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in any field; at least 2 years post-bachelor's work experience in an educational setting; demonstrated commitment to success for low-income and underrepresented students; ability to conduct quantitative data analysis including multivariate causal models; excellent writing and presentation skills demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team; demonstrated ability to navigate context of large public university.
