We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide support to the administrative staff of the Advanced Practice Nursing program. These delegated responsibilities may include answering phones, sending and receiving faxes, preparing patient education folders, as well as doing assembly of employee records, filing, and other tasks as assigned.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
- Travel between different NYULMC locations to retrieve and deliver light supplies and/or documents as needed.
- Copying, faxing, filling and document preparation as assigned.
- Assist administrative staff during times of high call and work volume, including incremental break coverage
- Provide support to the administrative staff of the Advanced Practice Nursing program and the Anticoagulation Clinic as assigned by the office manager.
To qualify you must be a Full-time student enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program.
Good communication skills; the ability quickly make interpersonal connections to patients and the ability to answer and direct phone calls in a warm, professional manner.
Demonstrated customer service skills
The ability to prioritize work and function with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with MS Word and Outlook. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Access (for data entry only)
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
