Supports Carilion's hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities.Supervises, coordinates, monitors and maintains effective, efficient daily operations. Provides training to team members and other departments on auditing processes, application of policy and procedures, compliance with regulations and standards, and performs Medical Auditor and/or Revenue Auditor functions alongside the Medical Auditors and Revenue Auditors. Provides support to the Manager of Revenue Charge Audit Services by monitoring daily operations, work quality, and client relation issues. Promotes team building and directs the team toward high quality performance.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Education: Bachelor's degree or a minimum of three (3) years in a directly related healthcare field required.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years experience in a hospital or clinic/physician ambulatory site, or prior billing/audit/compliance experience. High degree of skill with personal computers, mainframe computer systems, data base organization and structure preferred, with proficiency in Excel and Access. Extensive experience in another database package may be substituted for Access.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certified Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS, RHIT or CPC-H required.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, and proficient computer system knowledge. Well organized and detail oriented. Actively participates in appropriate professional organizations. Proficient in team building, conflict resolution, group interaction, project and budget management. Excellent skills in change management, and group process. Understanding of operations and competitors, and economic, social and legal environment
