FULL TIME; CONTRACT Starting Salary Range: $19.00 to 23.00/hourly. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

May lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues.
The UC Learning Center is the learning management system used for all UC locations. The UC Learning Center will undergo a systemwide upgrade in May 2017. The purpose of this position is to offset some of the increased workload that results from a systemwide upgrade.
Under the direct supervision of the UC Learning Center Administrator, the incumbent will initially assist in the day-to-day end-user customer service response for UC Learning Center support requests. After a base-level of demonstrated competency has been established, the incumbent will begin assisting in increasingly complex administrative tasks of the UC Learning Center.
Entry-level professional with limited prior experience; learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity; works on assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. Employees at this level are expected to acquire the skills and knowledge to perform more advanced work following an agreed upon time in position, through defined training and development planning.
The incumbent will apply location policies and procedures to resolve routine issues, work on problems of limited scope, and solves basic problems via information-gathering, basic analysis, recommendation, and execution of direction given.
The UC Learning Center serves UCSC as the technical arm of the Training and Development unit, within the Staff Human Resources department, which operates as a part of the Business and Administrative Services division.
Current work-site is UCSC Scotts Valley Center (SVC) at 100 Enterprise Way, Scotts Valley, CA.
Interpersonal and communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at every level in the organization.
Demonstrated ability in employing diplomacy and empathy in customer service.
Ability to cultivate and maintain a positive interpersonal environment.
Demonstrated ability to compose error-free instructions, in English.
Demonstrated ability to breakdown a complex task into manageable elements and follow-through to delivery.
