This position provides management and supervision of financial coordinators and high-level financial support to the Academic Department Manager in Workday operations as cost center manager and in pre- and post- award contracts and grants administration. These include the planning and preparation of ~85 research proposals submitted annually as well as financial analyses and reports, database creation and management, account reconciliation, subaward management, effort certification coordination, award closures and management for ~80 active grants and contracts and ~34 departmental accounts. The position acts as the fiscal liaison to faculty, students, staff, external vendors, etc., manages and supervises financial coordinators, coordinates the department-wide performance review cycle, acts as HR Coordinator in Workday as related to hiring and timekeeping and is responsible for the management and upkeep of grant and contract databases.
- Required: â?¢ College degree with 2 to 4 years related research or accounting/financial experience or combination of education and experience with an accounting or business degree or certificate desirable.
-Academic work experience preferred.
-Supervisory experience preferred.
-MS Excel preferred.
