Posting Summary: The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases Ryan White program is seeking a lead Medical Office Supervisor. This position is a point of contact for HIV/AIDS patients within the division's Ryan White program. This position is responsible for providing patient access to Ryan White related medical services, support services and educational resources and for ensuring that the areas reporting to this position meet HRSA & VDH auditing standards & medical case management performance measures meet HRSA and VDH quality standards. Duties include assuring that the assigned staff are compliant with all required documentation of delivered care, that case loads are appropriate and consistent with sponsor expectations and that the assigned team is collaborative with other members of the Ryan White care team.
In addition this position will supervise assigned staff and is responsible for full performance management for all direct reports.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a High School diploma with at least eight years of administrative experience in a health care environment including some experience leading or supervising others.
This position is restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.
Required Minimum Level of Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Preferred
Preferred Specific Degree/Training: Bachelor's Degree in social work or a related field.
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Extensive - 7 years plus
Required Specific Experience: A minimum of eight years of administrative experience in a health care environment, including some experience leading or supervising others.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Considerable - 4 to 7 years
Preferred Specific Experience: Prefer a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience related to the areas of nursing, public health, psychology, sociology or social work, 5 years of experience related to leading or supervising others, 3 years of work experience in the areas of HIV care or rehabilitative care.

Knowledge of Joint Commission standards applicable to area of practice. 4. Knowledge of confidential guidelines and of sponsor's policies and procedures. 5. Knowledge of HIV/AIDS.
