To plan, manage and execute outreach and engagement initiatives focused on building and sustaining relationships with international alumni in support of the University. Reports to the Director Outreach and Engagement, Alumni Relations.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Research, develop and implement engagement strategies for international alumni.
Collaborate with various university departments and offices to develop international programs, events and volunteer activities to promote alumni leadership, advocacy and engagement.
Establish and sustain international alumni volunteer opportunities including international clubs, alumni ambassadors, mentors and international student recruitment.
Develop and oversee international volunteer relationships.
Collaborate with Advancement Research to track, update and analyze data on international alumni.
Plan and execute a variety of communication strategies to reach, inform and engage international alumni.
Develop and manage relationships with Kent State University alumni and friends who have come to understand the world through their own global education; seek out those individuals and provide engagement opportunities.
Build and advance relationships in key geographic regions, where a large number of Kent State University alumni and friends reside.
Collaborate and, as appropriate, lead special projects related to international alumni engagement.
Act as a liaison with the alumni association board of directors and related committees.
Supervise student employees.
Perform related duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree Public Relations, Marketing or related field. A minimum of four years of experience in alumni relations, marketing, education or relevant experience. Must be able to travel, including occasional international travel.
License/Certification: Must have a valid driver's license and passport.
