We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Director - Central Sterile Processing. To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or Nursing and a NYS Registered Nurse or experience as a Sterile Processing Director with certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD plus relevant experience in Central Sterile Processing or Surgery leadership in addition to five years' experience in middle or higher level management prior to Central Sterile Processing management. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as a resource to senior management on strategic issues impacting perioperative services; preparing and implementing strategic plans to develop programs and services to enhance care and service; monitoring and reporting achievements of strategic and operational goals; keeping management team, physicians and staff informed of changes which impact the current and future delivery of services; mentoring Managers by increasing their awareness and involvement in innovative leadership and care delivery; possessing knowledge and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards; providing safe environment for employees to perform their work; providing administrative direction to improve performance, based on monitoring and reporting of short and long term outcomes; serving as a liaison for physicians, providers, families, and patients; enhancing the quality of patient care; monitoring patient satisfaction with services; monitoring survey results; communicating results to employees and exploring ways to improve satisfaction with care and services; maintaining visibility and ongoing dialogue with physicians to address issues; communicating effectively with employees; collaborating with Perioperative Business Manager and Financial Services to develop a realistic budget; directing business development to enhance the financial stability of the surgical service line; monitoring productivity to ensure a balance of fiscal responsibility to provision of services to patients and physicians; developing new models of care that focus on innovative staffing and care delivery; demonstrating support of Corporate Integrity Plan in the performance of job duties and responsibilities; plus all other job duties as assigned. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business is preferred.
