UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA— The Peter B. Gustavson School of Business invites applications from talented teachers to fill an Assistant Teaching Professor position in the area of Accounting.
Qualified candidates will have a proven teaching record in a variety of accounting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition, they will hold a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent), a Master’s degree in a relevant area, experience teaching accounting from a management perspective and experience teaching with cases.
The Peter B. Gustavson School of Business offers Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Business Administration and Master of Global Business degrees – all of which have an international curriculum - as well as a PhD in International Management and Organization. Scholarship and teaching at the School are strongly aligned around our three areas of specialization: Service Management, International Business and Entrepreneurship and our guiding pillars - Sustainable/Social Responsible, International, Innovative and Integrative. Experience in these areas would be considered an asset.
The experiential dimension in our academic programs includes a mandatory co-op program for all undergraduate students, international exchanges, and overseas co-op work opportunities. In line with this approach, a candidate’s global orientation and business experience would be considered an asset. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate proficiency in the classroom.
Gustavson is one of the few North American schools that is fully accredited by both the European Federation of Management Development (EQUIS) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
