The College of William & Mary invites applications for the position of Athletic Department Assistant Equipment Manager. This position is a 12-month full time position with benefits, and salary is commensurate with experience. Position maintains the athletic supplies and equipment used by university athletic teams and ensures equipment rooms are in order. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: launder uniforms and other equipment as needed; receive and issue sports supplies and equipment to coaches and players; conduct inventory of supplies and equipment; prepare supplies and equipment for travel with athletic teams; and set up and stock locker rooms with appropriate equipment for home and away games.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of NCCA rules and regulations relative to equipment purchasing, allocation and retention. High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, AEMA Certification or obtained within one year of hire date, prior experience with athletic events organization and planning, inventory management, and/or logistics; and proficiency with MS Office suite to include Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and internet search engines. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to organize and clearly document the inventory and purchasing process; ability to communicate and work effectively with enrolled students, administrators, and coaches.
