BA/BS required with minimum 7 years experience with at least 3 years in an analytics role preferably in a non-for-profit environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to synthesize high volumes of data and write concisely. Ability to work well with diverse groups, and must have strong reading, writing, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Must have an understanding of quantitative tools and techniques as well as excellent interpersonal communications; must have excellent time management and multi-tasking skills; ability to work under pressure and against deadlines, must have flexibility and the ability to shift quickly and efficiently; must have the ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, organizing multiple concurrent tasks.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project) and Internet and email applications. Basic to intermediate proficiency with SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, SPSS, or other statistical software; and strong knowledge of databases, research software, and techniques.
Strong experience leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Must understand donor's rights and the distinction between public and private information and scrupulous
attention to matters of discretion and confidentiality.
Successful candidates must be proficient in statistical analytics and a proficiency in the use of large data
sets and a relational database.
Fluency or proven ability to learn various computer software related to data mapping, data mining, and
statistical software tools.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to locate and interpret biographic, philanthropic, and
financial data from a variety of sources.
Ability to work well under pressure, handle several projects simultaneously, and reprioritize as needed as
well as strong experience with computers, online databases, and Internet searching.
Strong computer skills and the ability to become comfortable quickly with the University's alumni and
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills with careful attention to detail.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Candidates with less years of direct experience will be considered for the grade 57 salary band.
