Specific Job Requirements: Possess undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, or have an equivalent combination in education and experience. Must have at minimum, one (1) year of prior experience working in a technical support position. Demonstrated technical troubleshooting skills, analytical reasoning skills, and must be able to determine when to escalate issues appropriately. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical terms into non-technical terms. Technical skills to learn and use enterprise and division information systems and tools. Must be service oriented to provide excellent customer service; high level attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-up skills to complete projects/tasks.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to use tact and diplomacy and maintain high level of confidentiality. Ability to learn and interpret University policies and procedures that pertain to the duties of this position. Ability to multi-task and have a strong command of time management skills to be able to prioritize duties when faced with interruptions, distractions and a fluctuating workload. Be able to work some weeknight and weekend work hours as needed.
Desired: Knowledge of Blackboard LMS, PeopleSoft software, LANDesk, Computer Imaging, and Remote Support tools. Basic understanding of Ethernet networking principles and connectivity. Working knowledge of desktop support for Microsoft Windows 7/10 operating systems, Android and iOS devices, and Macintosh OS X operating systems. Possess Microsoft Certification, A + Certification.
