The Senior ETL Developer is responsible for top-level technical coordination and design of complex SQL data transformation and warehouse systems in a large computing environment. Incumbent designs programs collaborating with key staff and faculty from various organizational units. Prepares detailed specifications for the design, implementation, and maintenance of multiple data-marts and data warehouses linking clinical, financial, and operational data together for analytics.
Guides junior ETL developers on daily operations and maintenance of systems assigned. The Sr. ETL Developer, maintains system integrity, investigates and solves performance issues as they arise, and participates in the review, install, and configuration of any SQL system that the enterprise decides to implement. The Sr. ETL Developer will be the technical expert in SQL Server Integration Services and utilize other ETL approaches when appropriate.
Level 4: Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.

A Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent experience/training.
Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.
Advanced knowledge of database management systems and standards.
Professional experience, and proven success, providing database administration and management in a large scale organization.
Experience in a healthcare environment.
Intermediate level capabilities with MS Access and MSSQL server.
Experience implementing best practices SQL security, perform0ance tuning, and disaster recovery.
Proven experience implementing SQL encryption and SSL for sites providing reporting data.
Programming experience in SQL or other comparable programming language, preferably in a large, complex healthcare environment.
DDL - Data Definition Language, SSMS - SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services, SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Services, SSAS - SQL Server Analysis Services Database Engine Tuning Advisor, SQL Server Profiler SQL Server optimization and Database Backup Transact-SQL: Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, Triggers, etc.
