MSK is seeking an experienced leader to oversee MSK’s Patient Access Service (PAS) and, in partnership with PAS’ Clinical Director, help new patients access exceptional care throughout our Manhattan and regional outpatient locations.
As the Director of PAS, you are:

Oversee the 75+ members of the Patient Access Service (PAS) to welcome prospective patients, helping them to identify the best path for beginning their care at MSK.
Manage all day-to-day operations – people, processes, facilities and systems.
Work collaboratively with managers of Strategic Analytics, Training, Infrastructure, and Special Initiatives, as well as partner departments and vendors, to develop and implement programs and tools that support MSK’s institutional goals.
Oversee all aspects of financial activity and lead the development and planning of PAS’ operating, salary, capital, and special project budgets and ensure PAS functions within that budget.
Partner with PAS’ clinical leaders and oversee administrative supervisors to lead PAS in:
Achieving high service levels through efficient workflows (e.g., low wait times for callers, short turnarounds between first call and scheduling).
Supporting the clinical care and research growth targets of MSK, while maintaining (and improving) the level of compassionate and knowledgeable care.
Adopting new tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of matching patients to physicians.
Serving as a critical business partner to clinical services, in optimizing access for new patients.
A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) with a minimum of 7 years of management experience.
Extensive experience in operations, Ambulatory Care, and/or the customer experience is preferred.
Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and on-line network systems.
