This is a two year term position. The Project Planning Coordinator will assist with the coordination, organization, and development of master planning, programming, and feasibility studies. Gather, interpret, and prepare data for studies, reports and recommendations. Coordinate department activities with other departments and agencies as directed. Conduct research, contribute graphic assembly of information, schedule graphics, assistance on presentation materials including organizing photos. Prepare and distribute reports and provide document preparation and data analysis in support of project managers. Create a plan regarding graphic consistency for Planning schedules, budgets, ppt's and reports. Provide assistance in evaluating and recommending space development alternatives. Assist with developing cost estimates based on preliminary layouts and descriptions and working with planners and project managers to match project scope and budget. Research and prepare recommendations for projects costs using statistical reports, historical data, etc.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional work experience with responsibility in supporting design, building renovation and construction management required. Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications, including AutoCAD and other design graphics programs. Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of clientele. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external clients and vendors. Strong service orientation.
