Under general supervision, the Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Fund is responsible for implementing and overseeing a comprehensive annual fund program that creates revenue for the athletics department. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing donor levels and implementing strategies for new or increased memberships in the athletics department annual fund program; develops and manages key volunteer committees; coordinates the solicitation program; collaborates with the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development to increase annual giving revenue both in number of donors and total dollars raised, while administering the sponsor benefits program; represents the Athletics Department within the alumni community and at professional organizations or associations; works with University Advancement on monthly reports for fundraising metrics; oversees the M Club, Kids Club, and pre-game hospitality; operates within the scope and intent of NCAA, Big West Conference and University regulations; and undertakes special projects as needed, at the direction of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. Performs other duties as assigned.
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a job-related field; Master’s degree is preferred. Equivalent to two years of progressively fundraising and or sales/marketing experience, preferably at a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level athletics program; three years preferred. Working knowledge of fundraising software (Ticketmaster, Paciolan and/or Raiser's Edge; experience with a similar financial and biographical database may be substituted for Paciolan). Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and management skills; as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, be self-motivated, highly organized, pay close attention to detail, possess strong research capabilities, and work effectively in a diverse university, community and athletic department environment.
