SOFTWARE SALES ASSOCIATE, edX, to identify, negotiate, and close the sale of bulk access to the edX online education platform on the sales end of a transformative process that will be changing the way corporations up-skill their workforce. Will contact new and assigned prospects to build a pipeline of business opportunities; outbound sales-develop and sell bulk enrollment codes in edX courses to large global prospects; inbound sales-close new opportunities provided from inbound leads and grow the accounts; use Salesforce to record all activity; deliver $1M+ per year in closed, acceptable new business; promote and evangelize edX while attending key industry events and conferences to build the brand and develop new prospects; and develop reports on activities, trends, and results.
REQUIRED: at least three years' experience in related sales; demonstrated ability to develop new client relationships and close contracts; experience negotiating winning deals; ability to write and design terms for management approval; good consensus building, communication, and listening skills; demonstrated success in a sales role involving identifying, negotiating, and contracting with prospects, clients, and channel partners; experience working with and presenting to senior level executive prospects; knowledge of the corporate learning industry; flexibility and comfort with directional shifts; detail orientation; good fact-finding skills; willingness to put in time to reach goals/objectives; and an understanding of the platform and ever-changing competitive landscape and of the start-up and entrepreneurial mentality. Track record of annual sales over $500K+ preferred. Experience with LMS, ERP, middleware, content, learning and training content, or platform sales a plus; as is knowledge of higher education learning industry. Job #14483-6
