| Position Summary: |
Job Duties: Responsible for providing data management and oversight of all aspects of data flow, storage, and maintenance as well as technical expertise for research projects in the Families, Emotions, Neuroscience and Developmental Laboratory (FEND) of the Department of Psychology. Other duties include:
*Responsible for overseeing all aspects of data flow and documentation, as well as for design, construction, and maintenance of relational databases using Microsoft SQL and Access to collect, store, and maintain research data collected from multiple sources (e.g., paper-based instruments, online and electronically-gathered data, etc.)
*Responsible for addressing data collection, storage, and ongoing database needs at various stages of the research project (e.g., initial database design and construction of back-end data tables and of front-end user-interfaces; altering data collection forms and tables as needed, fulfilling data requests)
*Devise, implement, and oversee quality control procedures to ensure that data integrity is upheld, and must be able to quickly and effectively troubleshoot as needed in order to maintain smooth and efficient data collection operations.
*Responsible for developing ongoing reports of overall study progress, recruitment targets, and quality data at specified and ad hoc intervals, for internal and external presentations.
*Maintain laboratory equipment and develop scripts to extract, process and analyze data from eyetracking and psychophysiology equipment.
*Preprocess fMRI, pupillary and eyetracking data using Matlab, Tobii, and SPM software.
*Provide system integration and specialized training and technical guidance.

Education Required: Baccalaureate
Overall Related Experience Level Required: 2-3 years experience
Additional Education And/or Experience Essential To the Position: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Information Systems, Human Computer Interaction or related field. Three years of experience with database management in a research project and/or related clinical setting. Experience with the following: Linus, UNIX , Matlab, Eprime, MS SQL Server, VBA , relational database software and relational database design. Experience programming in at least one of the following computer languages: Perl, Unix/ksh, VB, Java, C#, Windows PowerShell, or Python.
