Under the direction of the FSACE Program Director, the Youth Services Coordinator is responsible for serving as liaison between CEDA and other Youth Service providers and ensures that the suburban Cook County youth have knowledge and access to service and activities that will enhance their potential for growth in the area of budgeting, entrepreneurship and social development.
Conducts assessment of WIOA youth service providers throughout suburban Cook County.
Meets with providers to gain in-depth understanding of services offered, service area, enrollment procedures and program requirements.
Develops a linkage agreement in each region between CEDA and WIOA youth service providers.
Serves as the lead for all program initiatives for youth within the agency and identify areas where new programs and services are needed.
Ensures youth seeking youth services are aware of available services throughout suburban cook county.
Conducts research to find local providers of summer youth employment and make information available for youth.
Assists in coordination and implementation of activities where youth community needs assessments can be conducted for program planning.
Coordinates and communication with CSBG/FSACE Regional Managers and Senior Program Coordinator on a regular basis.
Prepares weekly service reports and other reports that correspond to job responsibilities.
Participates in community meetings that address needs of youth.
Participates in regular staff meetings and training as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
