Under the direction of the CSBG/FSACE Sr. Program Coordinator, the Vocational Program Specialist is responsible for conducting functions and activities for CSBG/FSACE training and educational programs. Other duties in this position will include conducting outreach initiatives in assigned region; and identify families and individuals within the service delivery area who need vocational training, case management and other services that will help them reach self-sufficiency. The Vocational Program Specialist will also coordinate the development of external resources to meet customer needs; and conduct review and progress analysis of students enrolled in training and educational programs.
Responsible for conducting outreach within the assigned region to recruit and enroll families and individuals in CSBG/FSACE service programs.
Implements assigned CSBG/FSACE work programs as written to ensure achievement of objectives and outcomes.
Assists in program recruitment, conduct intakes, case manage all families and individuals as required, maintain case files, utilize appropriate tracking methods to report activity, including DCA Tracking Logs and checkbooks, conduct follow-up per work program instructions.
Conducts presentation, onsite intake and eligibility screenings at vocational schools and educational facilities.
Enters and ensures accuracy of data entered into agency database systems.
Creates and maintain case files ensuring audit-ready.
Identifies internal and external linkages for referrals for additional services as needed.
Coordinates with the finance department at vocational schools to determine financial assistance level needed for program participants and perform follow up activities to ascertain client employment status.
Assists in conducting community needs assessments and client satisfaction survey for program planning.
Prepares weekly service reports and other reports that correspond to job responsibilities.
Participates in regular staffing meetings and trainings as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
