HEALTH SERVICES DIRECTOR (Year-Round Position)

The Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc. provides year-round education, recreation and support programs to children with insulin-dependent diabetes and their families. Programs include residential summer camps and a family camp in Massachusetts, day camps in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York, adventure programs in New England and New York, and a week-long overnight camp in Vermont. Weekend and vacation programs are offered about once a month during the school year. The Health Services Director is responsible for all health-related aspects of our programs.
Responsibilities: Provision of health care including diabetes management to children and young adults according to Barton Center protocols; recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of health care staff and volunteers; communication with campers and their families, collaboration with medical directors and medical advisory committee; program administration (health policies, procedures, regulations, supplies, budgets, etc.).
