Purpose: The Department of Theatre and Dance at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit Catholic University in Silicon Valley, seeks applicants for positions of Adjunct Lecturer (part-time) in Folkorico Dance for the Spring 2017 quarter.
Basic Qualifications: MFA in Dance preferred or MA with commensurate professional teaching and performing experience. Prior experience teaching Folklorico dance at the university level. Commitment to teaching theatre and dance within a liberal arts context.
Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to: 1. Teach beginning to intermediate Folklorico Dance in Spring 2017. Class hour is 5:40 7:20 pm Tuesday/Thursday. 2. Responsibility to teach all classes and assess student performance. 3. Administer course evaluations to all students. 4. Submit grades by all due dates to the Office of the Registrar. 5. Fulfill other instructional or academic duties, such as attending faculty meetings or department special events, as may be assigned by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences or the Chair of the department
