We seek an experienced, talented, and resourceful Senior Grant Writing Manager to contribute to the organization’s goal of securing $25 million by 2020. They will contribute to this goal by bringing strategic thinking, relevant content knowledge, project management experience, and excellent writing skills to create proposals, reports, and other written materials for current and prospective donors. The Senior Grant Writing Manager reports to the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, is part of the Development team, and will work closely with the Grant Writing Manager to ensure that all donor reports and proposals are of the highest quality and meet donor intent and need.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Grant Writing (~70%)
Work closely with fundraisers and the Grant Writing Manager in writing for a wide range of current and prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, corporations, and government. Written materials include, but are not limited to, letters of intent, concept notes, grant proposals, major donor mass solicitations, and reports.
Writing and Content Management (~20%)
Manage the entire grant writing process in coordination with the Grant Writing Manager to ensure all submissions are complete and fulfill donor expectations. This includes, but is not limited to, developing timelines, assigning tasks, and working closely with relevant staff to ensure rich content and fulfillment of donor grant restrictions as they relate to donor reporting preferences.
Manage overall content for the development team in coordination with the Grant Writing Manager, including regularly working with program staff to identify new and relevant content that can be used in written materials. Serve as a repository for the development team on existing written content that can be leveraged.
Support special cross-team writing and stewardship projects.
Participate in cross-functional work-teams and other Global Fund for Women teams as appropriate.
Internal: This position reports to the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships and is a member of the Development team working closely with the Grant Writing Manager, fundraisers, as well as the Movements Team, Finance & Operations team, and Advocacy Team.
External: The Senior Grant Writing Manager represents the Global Fund to donors and external consultants through written materials.
