We are currently seeking a Program Manager of Staff Development and Training.

The Program Manager Staff Development and Training is responsible for coordinating all training and staff development activities across the agency including agency orientation, mandated training for the DD Division. S/he will also coordinate continuing education training, and other training as identified based on agency needs. The Program Manager will work closely with the AVP of Training to ensure that an effective and efficient training program is in operation at the NYF. The Program Manager will help to identify training needs and create and analyze various reports to support training initiatives. The Program Manager will assist in meeting The New York Foundling mission of developing and implementing training programs identified needs by the DD program leadership, findings from agency regulatory reviews of the DD program and needs identified via the agency CQI/QA process. The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that an effective database is in place to monitor expected training participants, actual participants and is responsible for follow-up to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. The Program Manager ensures compliance with OPWDD and COA regulations and standards on best practice and standards. The Program Manager will work with the AVP on all department administrative requirements (e.g., budget, short-term plan, department goals and objectives), as required. The Program Manager will assist with coordinating work of training coordinators.
Other administrative requirements:
- Data analysis: Produce and monitor reports on training compliance and exception reports.
- Use EVOLV to input data and produce reports.
- Training and Staff Development: Develop training curriculum.
- Train new hires in each DD program.
- Assist program staff in providing required annual refresher training as needed.
- Develop in collaboration with residence managers, staff development plans to enhance skill level of personnel.
- Participate in leadership training program to identify needs and promote successes.
- Serve as on-site support for direct and management staff to facilitate on the job training.
