The Revenue Recovery Analyst will understand and update patient accounting applications used to manage patient accounts and to access alternative information sources when necessary (e.g. PAAR, microfiche financial records, reports generated by General Accounting). Must have great verbal and written communication to handle inquiries from patients, patient representatives or insurance companies. Detail and problem-solving aptitude is needed. Interpret and discuss insurance explanations of benefits and payments. Must meet production and quality expectations on a weekly/monthly basis. Use correct forms, codes, etc., to process and document work. Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Experience: Five (5) years plus experience in commercial collection, appeal review and analysis of accounts for completion and compliance. Computer literacy, interaction and keying skills; full competency in MS Office. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and healthcare billing and collection practices. Knowledge and understanding of CSHS policies and procedures governing credit balances and resolution of CSHS provider contracts with insurance companies. Educational requirements and/or preferences: Minimum high school diploma. College level courses in business and health insurance. Physical Demands: Normal office activity, must be able to work on computer majority of day, handle and move large records when required, and other office activities.
