The Senior Network Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Campus Network Engineering, leads in the design and implementation of the network services of HUIT's IT infrastructure build-out in the Allston campus.
The Senior Network Engineer work closely with peer Senior Network Engineers, Network Architect, Network Operations, DevOps, Controls and Instrumentation and Platform teams, as well as key IT stakeholders throughout the University in support of the Allston campus project.
Additionally, He/She plans and manages medium to large network related projects from design to implementation within a dynamic network infrastructure, as well as creates and maintains appropriate documentation infrastructure, standards and projects. Collaboration with project management teams involved with the Allston campus project.
Provide daily engineering support of the HUIT network infrastructure
Solve technical/infrastructure client issues
Assist & provide project leadership in completing project tasks
Serve as a key resource to the HUIT team/ key IT stakeholders for Allston Campus project
Mentor Network Engineers, Field LAN & Wireless Engineers, NOC Technicians, Systems Engineers
All members of the team are encouraged to explore new technologies. HUIT supports ongoing professional development including conference attendance, course work and experimentation
Participation in a 24 x 7 x 365 on-call rotation schedule is required
