The Program Manager 1 Community Benefit is responsible for overseeing and coordinating community benefit reporting throughout the CHRISTUS Health System, with the goal of assisting CHRISTUS regions as they work to improve the health status of their communities through appropriate documentation and evaluation. This position is also responsible for administering the CHRISTUS Fund. The CHRISTUS Fund partners with non-profit agencies within geographic proximity to CHRISTUS ministries to address health needs identified in their Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Document, analyze, recommend applications for approvals; Lead staff to CHRISTUS Fund grant committee; create and maintain grant fund data base; facilitates implementation, funding, and evaluation of CHRISTUS Fund Program.
Community Benefit Reporting
Provide system-wide analytical and project support system-wide for evaluating and reporting community benefit initiatives and outcomes
Coordinate, with other department staff, the system-wide consolidation of community benefit reporting via the Community Benefit Inventory for Social Accountability software program (CBISA)
Serve as a resource for Mission Integration leaders, community benefit reports, and related committees on community benefit initiatives and issues and the CHRISTUS Fund
Ensure the timely completion of written reports, presentations and other materials in a manner that contributes to quality decision making, sound strategic planning, and appropriate accountability to the public, as well as provides data need for use in mission, advocacy and other areas
Ensure compliance in assigned areas of responsibility with Federal, State, and local laws, regulatory agency requirements (e.g., JCAHO, CMS), and the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
Provide leadership for and ensure compliance of all system funding programs, including CHRISTUS Fund, Medical Mission Fund, and Community Direct Investment Program
Periodically update CHRISTUS Fund web site, process applications for approval and maintain grant data base
In concert with grant recipients develops grant outcome measures to leverage community health initiatives for long-term impact and sustainability
Serve as a liaison between existing resources at the regional level to promote cooperative education and strategic implementation amongst community stakeholders and CHRISTUS Health
