Looking for an individual with proven sales and relations experience with providers in Orthopedics, Neurosciences, and Trauma services lines.
Leads referral development activities as informed by the yearly strategic plan and physician relations program plan. Provides strong customer service skills and relationship building capabilities with many different stakeholders. Focuses on developing referral relationships with physicians with the goal of maximizing referral and redirection opportunities for both inpatient and outpatient services.
Identifies appropriate prospects, delivers designed messaging in a timely manner, organizes meetings between referral sources and hospital affiliated providers, coordinates access to hospital services and verifies physician satisfaction with the outcome of referrals.
Promotes new and existing programs, services and providers to the referring community both locally and regionally. Implements physician relations activities which include 1:1 visits, educational events, focus groups, continuing medical education and social events.
Develops and implements creative tactical outreach initiatives and specific growth goals for multiple service lines or programs.
Establishes new business growth opportunities, develops successful marketing materials. Identifies service issues and communicates operational image issues that impede physician referrals or patient and physician satisfaction. Responsible for a large number of service lines or projects.
Mentors other representatives to provide education, support, and guidance. Participates in performance improvement, quality improvement and patient safety activities. Assists in maintaining compliance with Joint Commission accreditation and other regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5 years' experience working with physicians in sales, business development or referral development.
- Excellent oral presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate complex, technical or clinical information.
- Broad knowledge of physician practice operations.
- Ability to quickly learn hospital business goals and strategies.
- Knowledge of current issues of the healthcare environment, the local market and customers.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Degree in marketing or communications preferred.
- Provider relations experience with Orthopedics, Neurosciences, and Trauma service lines.
