This role will join a specialized local team that manages corporate and investor client related FATCA and CRS Due Diligence, on-boarding and Client Due Diligence activities for the Americas. In addition, this role will work closely with staff overseas who conduct validation activities. This person will also play a key role in change and consistency initiatives across the Client Coverage Group.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Key Roles & Responsibilities: * For the assigned coverage sector, assume responsibility for the gathering of information required to complete FATCA and CRS Due Diligence activities for new and existing business and remediation driven activities * Ensure all FATCA and CRS Due Diligence requests and activities are resolved within agreed timeframes and priorities are identified early and issues escalated accordingly * Work closely with the Client Coverage Team and Relationship Managers to understand the urgency, priority and sensitivity of on-boarding and maintenance requests and apply accordingly to the Due Diligence execution * Develop a detailed understanding of the Client Due Diligence, FATCA and CRS Due Diligence functions, system, process and procedures * Assist in the production and analysis of management information on a regular or ad-hoc basis * Support on-boarding change and remediation projects where required * Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with SCB's and regulatory standards, policies and practices * Provide critical governance and oversight of FATCA operational activities taking place offshore Qualifications & Skills: * Solid and proven relevant work experience (supporting Relationship Managers, Sales or working in an operational middle office or client facing support function), within the banking or financial services industry * Excellent client service skills. A proven ability to create and maintain good relationships (both internally and externally) is essential * KYC, AML or Client Due Diligence, Client Documentation experience will enhance the candidates profile for this role * FATCA, CRS, MIFID, or other regulatory experience is a plus, but not mandatory * Ability to work towards tight deadlines and under pressure * Capable of making independent and sound judgment * Excellent communication skills * Knowledge of Standard Chartered Bank's organizational structure, business lines and policies and procedures is a plus
