The Web Content Coordinator will organize, develop, and maintain content on SONHP websites and provide technical support and management to website constituents. The position is responsible for ensuring consistency with the website vision and style guide, while developing strategies to help keep content fresh and dynamic. The Coordinator will be responsible for executing day-to-day updates and maintenance of web content to promote and advertise the school's programs, faculty, staff and community initiatives. The Coordinator will also create and edit written content for the SONHP newsletter, The Bridge. Successful candidates will have a combination of technical experience, written and interpersonal communication skills, and initiative to help improve our website and enhance communication within and external from the School.
Responsible for developing, designing, posting content and day-to-day updates, and managing the Schools websites. Ensure that web-based information matches and enhances other SONHP publications such as print materials and general catalog. Organize, collect, or create and post content from various groups within the School, including outreach and consultation with faculty and staff. Monitor and post content of digital newsletters. Comply with branding and style guides. Monitor web analytics and provide reports to the Deans and Directors on a regular basis. Monitor content of social media sites and organize updates on a regular basis. Effectively anticipate problems and proactively generate solutions. Contribute to the overall user experience on the SONHP website. Create standardization tools that facilitate updating content for all users. Provide project management skills and leadership with regards to quality control and content of websites. Provide technical assistance to internal school constituents and work as liaison with university departments such as Web Services, ITS, and Office of Communications and Marketing. Collaborate with other web manager and coordinators and university offices to evaluate and implement initiatives that will provide continuous improvement to website functionality. Perform other duties as assigned.
Understanding of and commitment to USFs Vision, Mission and Values Bachelors degree in, marketing, communications, digital media, design or related field 1 year of relevant communication and/or design experience; Photoshop and Drupal experience preferred Experience and success updating websites utilizing a web content management system. Possess critical thinking, analytical, and creative talent abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar, and proof reading skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously. Project management experience and excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Experience working cross-functionally within a team. Knowledge of website development best practices including SEO techniques and complying with Section 508 accessibility guidelines
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience and success updating websites utilizing a web content management system. Digital graphic art production/design and layout, Photoshop experience preferred HTML Knowledge of website development best practices including SEO techniques and complying with Section 508 accessibility guidelines
