The Division of Primary Care Research at the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare seeks a new addition to provide research and administrative support to the Senior Research Associate and Division Director and participate in activities related to PROS research in primary care pediatric practices.
The Research Assistant will be responsible for:
Providing support during all phases of PROS research studies, including proposal writing, study execution, continuation applications, and final reports.
Serving as the initial and ongoing contact with primary care practices participating in PROS activities.
Formatting, preparing, executing, and tracking distribution of research materials in electronic and hardcopy formats.
Maintaining and updating tracking databases.
Assisting with Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and facilitate IRB activities for participating practices that require local IRB approval.
Managing the scheduling, logistics, communications and technical support for in-person and virtual meetings for assigned projects.
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
At least 1 year of experience supporting health services or social science research activities required, including data collection/entry, formatting of research materials, database maintenance, and preparing status reports.
Experience in child health issues and/or child health research is highly desirable.
Proficiency with MS Office and database software and a willingness to learn new research and software techniques required.
Some evening/weekend work and travel required.
