AgeOptions is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Corporate Relations and Communications. This unique development position will focus on non-traditional methods to diversify funding to support critical programs for older adults by increasing corporate support, fee based business and collaboration. This full-time position is not focused on individual giving or traditional grant writing. This position will spearhead cultivation of relationships with corporations, events and related activities. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Increasing Corporate Support
This individual will prepare proposals and business plans for corporate support and will oversee AgeOptions annual networking event, Celebrating Aging, which will be held this fall for the 13th consecutive year. The event attracted more than 60 sponsors in 2016 and over 300 guests. The event engages a wide variety of corporate sponsors who support AgeOptions programs and services. The Director of Corporate Relations and Communication is responsible for cultivating relationships with sponsors throughout the year with the goal increasing financial and in-kind support for AgeOptions.
There are four innovative programs within AgeOptions strategic plan which are the current focus of development efforts; Health Care Choices (Make Medicare Work Coalition), Take Charge of your Health, I-Fast and Caring Together, Living Better. This position also supervises Public Relations and Communications staff as a part of the development team working to promote the organization’s mission by fostering a positive public image to facilitate philanthropic support.
A successful candidate for this position will be highly collaborative. She/he will work closely with the Board, the Advisory Council and senior leadership as well as the program staff responsible for these programs to develop plans for support and sustainability.
