Develop fundraising strategies and goals, including an annual work plan with short and long term measurable Team goals, and analysis of progress and success.
Master's degree required. Minimum five years of related career experience in corporate or foundation relationship management, sales, development or related experience. Understanding of and ability to advocate for the importance of university research and higher education. Proven success leading a team and achieving personal results and results through others.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated strength initiating new and innovative engagement and outreach programs. Effective organizational skills and strong detail orientation. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with individuals across the University and College faculty, key alumni, volunteers and executive staff. Ability to appropriately handle highly confidential and sensitive information. Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact and discretion. Ability to excel while handling multiple tasks and competing priorities at the same time. Must be able and willing to work occasional weekends, evenings, and to undertake business travel.
Ph. D preferred. Experience in higher education or similarly complex environment. Basic understanding of the concepts and principles of fundraising.
