The Finance Department at MSK is seeking an Outcome/Case Rate Specialist to join their team.
As the Outcome/Case Rate Actuarial Specialist, you will:
Disseminate information regarding MSK’s value proposition with major insurers, employers, leading benefits consultants and other key constituencies, including physicians.
Work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop effective programs to communicate the benefit of MSK’s high-quality, value-driven care.
Define and implement an outreach strategy to the business/payor community. Communicate the unique needs of cancer patients in the employer setting, as well as MSK’s value proposition to this audience.
Maintain ongoing relationships with employers/insurers and monitor referral patterns. Function as resource for employers relating to cancer treatment.
Develop presentations to communicate MSK’s value.
Collaborate on new research initiatives to further define the value proposition.
Monitor trends relating to health benefits coverage in the employer and payor marketplaces and maintain membership in relevant professional associations.
A Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience; Master’s Degree (MBA, MPH, or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience in healthcare or health insurance.
Proficiency with SQL, SAS, R or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
Strong analytical capabilities; research experience helpful but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience in presenting, both formally and informally, to highly sophisticated audiences.
Ability to work effectively in cross-disciplinary environments.
