About This Role:
The Per Diem Nursing Assistant performs assigned patient care tasks and other related unit duties, defined, and delegated under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Our ideal candidate is a licensed nursing professional and will be accountable for providing care in order to maintain the patient's physical and emotional well being.
Responsibilities: Communicates effectively with patient/family, physicians, the interdependent team and other disciplines regarding the care of the patient. Complies with regulatory requirements, patient safety requirements, infection control practices, and other established practice standards, policies and procedures. Provides customer service excellence by understanding the needs of all customers (i.e. patients, families, and staff) and meeting needs in a timely manner.
Per Diem Shift = Hours and days will vary depending on the needs of the unit
What You Need:
Required: High School diploma or equivalency
Preferred: Some college and training from an accredited Nursing/Medical Assistant Program
Preferred: two(2) or more years of strong patient care experience in a hospital setting with a focus on ADLs
