Assists manager in the operation and control of the Support Service Department at multiple Outpatient facilities. Areas of responsibility include Receiving and Mailroom, Supply Distribution, and Facilities. Assists in coordinating entirety of the supply chain process including receiving, tagging and put-away, and distribution of medical and surgical supplies and equipment. Ensures that all supplies and equipment for the Outpatient facility are properly organized and prepared for daily clinical functions.
1.Operations Management: Ensures that all supplies and equipment required on patient floors are distributed timely and appropriately.
2.Training: Provides direction and on-the-job training to new staff.
3.Supply Ordering: Conducts inventory and orders supplies to maintain par levels in all assigned supply areas per established schedule.
4.Supply Distribution: Delivers and stores supplies in appropriate locations per department guidelines within established time frames.
5.Facility Maintenance and Operation
6.Responsibility Detail: Leads and assists Facilities Assistants with the overall maintenance of the facility. Ensures that all areas are maintained in a safe, attractive and appropriate manner consistent with the standards of the facility and Institution.
7.Equipment Maintenance (Medical and Non-Medical): Ensures availability of equipment in all assigned areas.
8.Provide support/coverage within the dept., as needed.
(Minimum education, experience)
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years
Preferred Education (optional): Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Preferred Experience (optional): 1 year, preferably in a healthcare setting
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
