We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for the GI Medical Oncology Service.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 500 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families. Supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which includes designated physicians and other healthcare team members to provide oncology care to an assigned caseload of out
patients with GI malignancies through a shared and independent visit model.
Serve as a clinical expert and resource providing education and consultation to healthcare team members.
Deliverer the highest standard of care in the diagnosis and management of a respective population of patients.
Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support tools to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum. Specific duties will include the evaluation of new patient visits and collaboration with the primary physician to develop a plan of care, routine follow-up and treatment clearance visits, symptom management visits, and management and disposition of patients who required urgent evaluation

Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:
Graduate from an accredited PA program
Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
A minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred
Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are:
Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
3+ years of related clinical experience
Related National NP certification
Hours: 10 hour days flexed Monday through Friday#LI-TA1
