We are seeking a Physician Assistant Coordinator (PAC) for Inpatient Oncology. S/he will report to the Director of PA Services for the Department of Medicine and will provide clinical and administrative leadership for PA staff practicing in inpatient oncology sub-specialties. In addition, the PAC will foster a work environment that promotes collaboration, excellence in clinical practice, and optimal team functioning. The PAC will maintain a clinical practice and collaborate with departmental, physician, nursing, and administrative leadership to ensure superlative care delivery and patient experience.
The ideal candidate is:
Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs to multiple stakeholders
Resourceful, securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently
An effective communicator
Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively with members of a multidisciplinary team to meet shared objectives/goals
Adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:
Graduate from an accredited PA program
Active NYS license
A minimum of 2 years of medical oncology experience required
2+ years of leadership experience as a PA is highly preferred
Hours: Full time days, flexed according to operational needs. May include weekend and holiday rotation according to operational needs.
