The Development Department at MSK is seeking an experienced Development Officer to join their growing team.
As the Development Officer, you will:
Cultivate and solicit gifts: Initiate and conduct personal meetings, utilizing metrics to determine the amount of face-to-face and other significant contact techniques with major gift prospects that will result in new and continued commitments in the major giving range, as well as increasing the commitments of annual giving donors.
Solicit gifts in the range of $5,000 to $100,000.
Research, draft, and follow-up on proposals.
Coordinate activities, when appropriate with the collateral areas of donor stewardship, events, donor research, acknowledgment, and donor communications.
Event work: Assist with planning, implementation, follow-up and analysis of cultivation and stewardship events for major donors.
Coordinate solicitations with Major Gift Officers.
Action-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.
An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.
A Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of experience in Development/Fundraising.
Flexibility to attend meetings/events on some evenings and weekends.
The ability to travel as needed.
