We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Registered Nurse in Inpatient Psychiatry. To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, a current New York State RN license and current BLS certification with the American Heart Association and at least one year of acute Psychiatry experience. The successful candidate will work in our 22-bed locked voluntary unit licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health. Adults are admitted with various psychiatric diagnoses. The unit promotes mental health through the development of interdisciplinary treatment goals and plans. The RNs are assigned to primary patients to foster continuity care and transition into the community.
To qualify you must have a Licensure: Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York:
Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required.
Basic Life Support Certification by hospital approved provider; additional certification specific to clinical practice area.
Membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred;
Fluent written and spoken English language skills;
Physical stamina, manual, dexterity, visual and aural acuity to perform responsibilities.
Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
